About the role

The Regional Director of Operations maintains the oversight of the day-to-day operations of multiple facilities within the region assigned, including budgetary control, safety, census management, quality control, compliance and more.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Ensures that the facility is compliant with the organization's policy and procedures and complies with all state regulations.
  • Understands and implements company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures positive financial outcomes through labor management, budgetary controls and census management.
  • Provides operational training and support to Administrators and all staff as needed, and upon hire.
  • Effectively motivate and communicate with facility leaders to deploy strategic solutions that ensure quality resident care is provided across all departments.
  • Monitors the careful and efficient use of supplies, checks medical supplies and see that supplies have been ordered as appropriate.
  • Conducts and attends meetings as required; works cooperatively with members of the management and care team, maintaining effective interdepartmental and interpersonal relations with residents, staff, and visitor's.
  • Travel to and be present at facilities daily to oversee and achieve operational efficiency and provide leadership and support.
  • Oversee facility is compliant with local, state, federal and license requirements including but not limited to HIPAA, OSHA, Survey Compliance, etc.
  • Reviews incident reports and follow up notes regularly to ensure state reportable incidents are being reported, proper procedure is being followed and documented.
  • Assist in hiring, training, planning assigning and directing the work of facility staff as needed.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must hold a current, active, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator License in the state of IL.
  • Five years management experience with experience in long-term care
  • General knowledge of professional basic nursing, restoratives and personal care services
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspondence.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, and interaction with coworkers.
  • Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
