About the Role

As the Regional Director (RD) for Rare Neurology, you will report to the Executive Director of Strategic Customer Engagement, Rare Neurology. You will be responsible for recruiting, leading, developing, and retaining the Rare Neurology Medical Specialist team in the South Central Region. Your leadership will drive strong and consistent sales performance that exceeds forecast and product goals, ensuring Regeneron establishes a major presence in the Rare Neurology market. You will foster cooperation and transparency within the region, work closely with Training and Development to enhance team growth, and maintain strict compliance with all Regeneron policies and U.S. pharmaceutical promotion regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a high-performing, high-integrity sales team, providing overall leadership to meet and exceed assigned sales objectives.
  • Align action plans with the strategic initiatives of the brand and lead regional sales force activities, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and development while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
  • Ensure each team member is trained on and effectively implements customer education.
  • Communicate up-to-date industry and competitor product knowledge to the regional team.
  • Ensure participation in industry-related trade shows, meetings, and conferences.
  • Analyze sales and customer data to deploy appropriate resources within the region.
  • Allocate and manage the region’s budget and promotional resources to meet or exceed brand objectives and product sales goals.
  • Build Regeneron’s credibility and relationships with key customers, including regional and local clinical experts and advocacy groups.
  • Position Rare Neurology Medical Specialists as clinical experts in the field of Rare Neurology.
  • Develop and execute an Incentive Compensation plan for the field team in compliance with corporate objectives and guidelines.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to proactively analyze and address market dynamics and trends supporting brand and collaboration objectives.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Payer environment, reimbursement challenges, and evolving healthcare systems, including government programs and managed healthcare.
  • Travel extensively within the region as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or other advanced education/certification is a plus (science-focused degree or clinical experience preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience, with at least 5 years in sales leadership/management, including 3 years as a Regional Director or District Manager in Rare Neurology.
  • Experience with complex therapies (e.g., REMS, Biologics, specialty pharmacy) in Rare Disease or Neurology, such as Myasthenia Gravis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, or Epilepsy, is highly preferred.
  • Proven success and positive track record as a Regional Director/District Manager in complex markets and systems, with a high degree of integrity.
  • Successful record of hiring, coaching, developing, promoting, and retaining top talent.
  • Proven ability to develop physician and customer clinical experts within a regional scope.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and alliance partners.
  • Demonstrated history of leading high-performance sales teams and driving regional objectives.
  • Product launch experience is a plus.
  • Experience selling to diverse customer segments.
  • Understanding of reimbursement challenges and opportunities for buy-and-bill products or other relevant Rare Neurology experience.
  • Ability to analyze sales and market data.
  • Strategic thinker who challenges the status quo to improve performance.
  • Strong leadership skills, including motivating, mentoring, and providing professional development to your team.

Pay

Salary Range (annually): $210,800.00 - $266,200.00.
