Regional Director Managed Care

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Regional Director Managed Care to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise specialty provider practices on managed care contracting and payer strategy
• Analyze, negotiate, and support renewal of various payer agreements
• Develop payer-specific strategies for enhanced reimbursement and operational sustainability
• Evaluate contract terms and administrative barriers impacting practice performance
• Monitor and translate payer policy changes and reimbursement trends into actionable insights
• Support practices in contract administration and ongoing management of initiatives
• Prepare actionable strategy summaries and negotiation materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, healthcare administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, particularly managed care contracting and payer relations
• 5+ years of progressive experience in managed care contracting or provider reimbursement
• Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, payer policies, and value-based care concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and analytical tools like Salesforce.com and Smartsheet
