Regional Director, Health Services
About the role
The Regional Director, Health Services at CoreCivic is responsible for overseeing health services programs, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations, and providing guidance to facility management.
Responsibilities
- Oversees application and compliance of policies and procedures, contracts, laws, regulations and standards.
- Liaises with customers, facilities, and Health Services department.
- Communicates with Business Unit Operations leaders and facility management on department operations and goals.
- Maintains financial and clinical performance of medical departments.
- Hires and develops Health Services Administrators, guiding their clinical performance.
- Manages succession planning and oversees continuous quality improvement activities.
- Evaluates and recommends methods to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for state healthcare programs.
- Manages multiple complex contracts and may be available on-call for emergencies.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related Healthcare field.
- Advanced degree in Healthcare field preferred.
- If degree is in Nursing, must have a current Registered Nurse license.
- Five years of professional supervisory experience with three years in correctional nursing required.
- Knowledge of correctional health care practices, including ACA, NCCHC and JCAHO standards, patient care protocols and practices, continuous quality improvement, productivity, staffing, and scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

Benefits
CoreCivic offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $119,700 - $144,900 annually, plus bonus and equity incentives.

Schedule
Full-time, remote position with extensive travel required.
