Regional Director - Federal
About the role
The Opportunity As the Regional Director for the Citizen Services team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strategic expansion, and the overall management of a high-performing sales team within our Federal Civilian division. In this role, you will lead your team in selling Nutanix’s enterprise cloud products and solutions to a designated list of Citizen Services programs, leveraging both direct customer engagement and key channel partner relationships. This position offers the opportunity to provide critical program oversight and develop deep, long-term relationships across a complex federal ecosystem, directly supporting Nutanix's mission to make cloud computing invisible and seamless for Federal Civilian agencies.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, manage, mentor, and accelerate the onboarding and performance of account managers on the Citizen Services team, ensuring clear alignment with technical systems engineering partners.
Revenue & Pipeline Ownership
- Own the Citizen Services sales numbers, revenue targets, and sales projections, ensuring accurate forecasting, prospect tracking, and comprehensive management reporting using SFDC.
Go-To-Market Execution
- Collaborate directly with the Field Marketing team to execute effective marketing strategies, and partner closely with the Channel Management team to optimize channel-led sales opportunities.
Strategic Deal Management
- Oversee and negotiate complex, large-scale enterprise agreements involving multi-million-dollar structures, price considerations, and intricate federal terms and conditions.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in a quota-carrying enterprise software sales role with a demonstrated history of quota achievement including 3+ years managing a Federal sales team.
- Proven experience building, managing, and mentoring high-performing sales professionals within the enterprise technology space.
- Documented experience navigating complex federal procurement cycles, specifically negotiating large-scale transactions with complex terms and price pressures.
- Strong capability to work effectively across multiple business and IT leadership levels within highly complex federal civilian organizations.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to support team objectives and customer engagements.
Work Arrangement
- Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
Pay
- The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $320,000 and USD $480,000 per year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
