Regional Director - Commercial HVAC/R

Key Responsibilities

  • Own weekly, monthly, and annual Business Unit performance results.
  • Monitor revenue attainment against forecast and execute corrective actions to achieve plan.
  • Drive gross margin performance through active management of labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure technician productivity, utilization, and work order throughput meet company standards.
  • Monitor service delivery performance, response times, first-time fix rates, and customer commitments.
  • Partner with Service Managers to identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
  • Maintain accountability for safety compliance and immediate resolution of incidents or risks.
  • Deliver weekly Business Unit performance reviews including KPIs, root causes, corrective actions, and progress updates.

Executive Reporting & Performance Management

  • Lead weekly operational reporting cadence for executive leadership.
  • Analyze business performance trends and identify operational risks and opportunities.
  • Develop actionable recommendations based on data and root cause analysis.
  • Track accountability for corrective actions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Highlight performance concerns involving business units, leaders, or technicians and facilitate recovery plans.
  • Maintain visibility of prior commitments, action items, and outcome tracking.

Leadership Development & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Facilitate monthly Service Manager leadership forums and development sessions.
  • Monitor retention, engagement, turnover trends, and employee experience metrics.
  • Identify recurring leadership, training, and workforce challenges.
  • Implement leadership development and coaching initiatives designed to improve team performance.
  • Reinforce company culture, leadership expectations, and accountability standards.
  • Share operational best practices across teams to improve consistency and results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of operations leadership experience in HVACR, field services, construction services, facilities services, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing P&L performance, operational metrics, and workforce productivity.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence and field service management platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence results without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and accountability management skills.

Pay

The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000 annually. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
