Summary
Drives the effective management and oversight of quality improvement, patient safety, epidemiology, and risk management initiatives for the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and develops the department and effectively utilizes internal and external resources to provide solution-oriented communications to hospitals, departments, and medical staff on a regular basis.
- Led the team with recommendations for performance improvement to assure effective operations and compliance with governmental regulators, accreditation, and legislative standards and quality services.
Requirements
- Educational: Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Experience: Seven years of management-related experience in the field of hospital quality or risk management.
- Credentials: State of Florida Registered Nurse licensure preferred. Certification in healthcare quality and/or accreditation preferred (e.g., CPHQ), Six Sigma Green Belt.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid Florida RN license.
- Preferred certifications include CPHQ and Six Sigma Green Belt.
Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
- Ability to manage and improve processes for quality and safety.
