Regional Coordinator - Part Time

About the role

The Regional Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Operation Christmas Child team in the Albany, New York Regional Office. They oversee volunteer and collection data, coordinate event logistics, and provide administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Oversee all volunteer and collection network data for the Northeast region
• Develop expertise with the internal volunteer website and support volunteers as needed
• Carefully coordinate the timely submission of collection center closure packets
• Recruit, select, train, develop, and lead administrative associates and office volunteers
• Compose and distribute official communication and mailings on behalf of the Regional Office
• Provide administrative support for local and regional events and attend as needed
• Contribute to the strategic planning for the Northeast region and serve on a field committee
• Contribute to the achievement of annual Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift and volunteer participation goals
• Play an essential role in achieving these goals
• Contribute to superior customer service by answering phone and email inquiries
• Manage office supplies, equipment, and materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from university or college and two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confident multi-tasker
• Previous administrative experience preferred
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (Samaritan's Purse will provide the opportunity to complete the requirement post-hire)
