Regional Consultant (Internal Wholesaler), Independent Broker Dealer (IBD)
Job Description
The Regional Consultant (Internal Wholesaler), in partnership with a Regional Director, will be responsible for sales, support, and service of our IBD partners in their assigned region associated with Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Management Solutions. The products will include open-end alternative investment funds and traditional mutual funds. The Regional Consultant is responsible for supporting major markets and directly managing secondary markets within their Region with a client-centric, sales-driven approach to the marketplace.
The Regional Consultant’s performance is measured by gross fund flows, assets under management, sales activities, client expansion and retention, and broader team contribution to the National sales effort.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, or as an internal sales associate; alternative investment experience preferred.
- Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) channel experience is highly preferred.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 66 license required.
- CAIA, MBA, CFA a plus.
- Highly proactive and resourceful self-starter, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a focus on achieving results.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.

Travel
The position is NYC based and minimal travel is required.
Pay
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
