About the role
The Regional Compliance Specialist supports properties in the Northeast Region (MA, NH, and ME) by ensuring policies and procedures are communicated and implemented, delivering training, and monitoring compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular on-site and remote audits, both scheduled and unscheduled, and assist sites in preparing for and attending agency audit findings.
- Manage and monitor lease-up or program conversion efforts for new and existing properties to meet or exceed owner and investor expectations.
- Analyze and interpret regulatory documents to set up property management software and address issues through the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with Corporate Compliance to design, develop, and deliver trainings through direct delivery or coordination with professional organizations.
- Review, revise, disseminate, and implement policies and procedures to reflect new or changing agency and/or company requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to drive property performance through monitoring, reporting, and tracking key financial and programmatic indicators.
- Provide direct support and routine accessibility to internal and external customers through attendance at meetings, conference calls, emails, and helpdesk tickets.
- Perform various other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5-8 years of related compliance experience with a variety of affordable housing programs, including Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Project Based Section 8.
- Prior affordable housing compliance department experience.
- Ability to travel throughout the Northeast Region (MA, NH and ME) to be onsite and support Monday through Friday, and weekends as needed.
- A current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office Suites.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to the organization.
- Outstanding leadership and training skills.
- Demonstrated organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Certified Occupancy Specialist, C3P, CAM, CAPS or similar designations.
- NAHP, SHCM or similar designation.
- Experience in regional management involving multiple properties.

Pay
$80,000.00 - $92,000.00 annually. Final salary will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience and other factors.
Schedule
Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM EST with the ability to work weekends as needed.
