Responsibilities
- Affirms compliance of the clinical program with CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), and any state/federal/local Standards.
- Assists and participates in interviewing candidates for the clinical leadership open positions in the region and sets proper expectations at time of interview.
- Makes assistance with counselor interviews, as needed.
- Assists with the onboarding training for newly hired/promoted clinical leadership for the region and evaluates clinical leadership competencies within the first 90 days.
- Diagnoses, prescribes, and provides on-going training and development for the clinical leadership in the region. May also provide and/or co-facilitate training for the clinical/ facility team.
- Provides individual and group supervision, including observed supervision, for clinical leadership in the region.
- Maintains and enforces workflow expectations for the region, including digital signing, scheduling, patient services, active treatment plans, counseling compliance, and quality documentation.
- Works with the Executive Director, or designee, to address and document any performance issues of clinical team members or leadership in the region, as needed.
- Provides guidance and consultation to clinical and facility/ regional leadership for the development and implementation of clinical support and success plans.
- Maintains and monitors programming and curriculum to meet the needs of the population served (i.e., group schedule, evidence-based curriculum, counselor resources/tools).
- Assists and trains facility clinical leadership with monitoring quality assurance of all Patient clinical records (i.e., complete, accurate, timely documentation that reflects patient needs, service provision, and medical necessity criteria).
- Facilitates and/or co-facilitates clinical meetings to address behavioral and/or clinical concerns, progress, and crisis intervention of patients, as needed.
- Makes provision for clinical and/or licensure supervision to counselors.
- Provides input into the performance evaluations for all clinical leadership.
- Safeguards all incident reports that pertain to clinical issues are addressed in a timely manner, including risk factors and quality assurance issues.
- Routinely communicates with Regional Director of Operations, Executive Directors, and administrative teams to address immediate clinical concerns.
- Consistently attends regional clinical team meetings.
- Completes all internal training courses - timely as required.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in an appropriate behavioral science or mental health discipline.
- Psychologists licensed in CA: LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) or LCSW.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in alcohol and drug addiction to include group, individual counseling with treatment planning skills and case management.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with supervision and/or management of clinical services of an alcohol and drug addiction program and support team.
- Knowledge of school of thought and/or theory that is compatible with treatment and the twelve step philosophy.
- Current valid driver’s license in good standing in state of employment and insurable by the designated carrier.

$125,000/year to $150,000 per year
