AdviniaCare, a leading provider of senior living and care services, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Business Office Manager (BOM) to oversee the quality of resident account services at our Rhode Island facilities. This role ensures timely and accurate payment processing and provides exceptional customer service to residents and families.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure communities implement effective measures for timely receipt of all payments due from residents and families; communicate with the facility's bookkeeping office.
  • Educate residents and families on Medicaid and Medicare requirements; verify each resident's financial resources and ability to pay when applicable.
  • Make monthly phone calls to responsible parties regarding missing payments.
  • Submit Medicaid applications and complete timely follow-ups on pending cases.
  • Ensure admit packets are entered into PCC within 15 days of admission; manage proper and pending cases effectively.
  • Provide ongoing assistance and education to increase the likelihood of application approvals; maintain communication with BOMs.
  • Oversee the appeal process and provide education to resolve overpayment issues with SSA when applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Rhode Island Medicaid application and long-term care.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid regulations in Rhode Island.
  • Ability to travel, drive, and visit locations on a weekly basis or as needed.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to organize, analyze, report, and communicate results.
  • Patient, tactful, cheerful, and enthusiastic demeanor; ability to interact with residents based on their current functioning level.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as good organizational abilities.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment, and meet deadlines.
