Position
The ideal candidate will have 2 years prior experience in bookkeeping, proficiency in writing and mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals, including accounts payable, payroll and general ledgers is a plus. Candidates must possess good communications and analytical skills with attention to detail; be able to work accurately and effectively with pressures of report schedules and customer inquiries; be well organized, reliable, persistent and work as a team player.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate daily census record.
- Accumulate and price all charges for supplies and services.
- Classify all charges between distinct service areas.
- Record charges for processing in an automated accounts receivable system.
- Bill accurately and timely all parties for the services rendered.
- Afford assistance to the administrator in collection of accounts receivable.
- (This requires understanding of reimbursement procedures including state and federal contracts, i.e., Medicaid, Medicare, VA, private insurance, etc.).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and formal classroom bookkeeping education or two years bookkeeping experience.
- Must be able to travel overnight.
- Must have 3-5 years skilled nursing experience.
- Knowledge in Accounts payable, payroll, and collections.
- Be able to work accurately with pressures of deadlines and interruptions while at the same time being well organized, persistent and working as a team player.
- Possess good communication and analytical skills with particular ability to pay attention to details.
- Proficiency in writing and mathematical skills.
- Must have 2 years prior bookkeeping experience.
