Regional Banking Relationship Manager Sr.
About the role
The Regional Banking Relationship Manager Sr. is responsible for acquiring new business relationships for Huntington as well as maintaining and deepening business relationships with existing customers by providing insights and guidance to business owners. This senior-level sales position focuses on businesses with sales sizes of $2 million to $50 million and credit exposures up to $25 million, with a heavy emphasis on businesses above $25 million in sales. The role also serves as a backup to the Market Manager and provides credit and mentoring guidance to junior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Acquires new, profitable business relationships through aggressive prospecting, networking, and providing insights and advice.
- Builds and maintains a robust network of local market COI (Centers of Influence) relationships, both external and internal.
- Analyzes, structures, and closes profitable loan transactions of the most complex nature in Regional Banking.
- Maintains and confirms creditworthiness of customers, gathering, reviewing, and tracking appropriate documentation from applicants.
- Manages and maintains strong relationships with a book of existing business customers, providing insights and advice.
- Deepens existing relationships through active engagement of internal partnerships and delivering insightful advice and guidance.
- Delivers the entire bank’s services to customers and is responsible for portfolio management, including quarterly reviews, CAR (Credit Approval Request), and document collection.
- Works with the Huntington Loan Center and Commercial Loan Servicing department to ensure accuracy and completeness of credit packages.
- Represents the bank within the community through participation in boards and business/community functions.
- Collaborates within a team environment and partners with junior colleagues on complex credits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4 years of education and Business Banking/Commercial lending experience).
- 10+ years of Business Banking/Commercial Banking experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Well-versed in complex commercial credits with 10+ years of Business Banking or Commercial sales experience.
Workplace Type
This is an office-based role. Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement, combining in-office and work-from-home opportunities. Remote roles will have the opportunity to come together in our offices for moments that matter. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.
Pay
The compensation range for this position is $102,000.00 - $208,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
