Regional Audiologist
About the role
The Regional Audiologist works with Account Managers, Inside Sales, and Territory Trainer focusing on new accounts, declining accounts, new product buyers, accounts that attend seminars, and follow-up on account visits to increase market share. The role requires making proactive outbound telephone calls assisting with fitting, fine-tuning, and product selections. They offer virtual software training to provide fitting and product support remotely to their regional customer base.
Responsibilities
- Provides outbound telephone support focusing on new accounts, high-level reports, return-for-credit reports, new product launches, and other sales opportunities in the region with a target of 15 calls/day. The customer base includes independent and pediatric customers.
- Offers virtual trainings that include CEUs to provide hands-on support with Genie software with a target of 2 trainings/day to build confidence with Oticon products and accessories.
- Provides hearing aid promotions post-trainings to ensure products and accessories are available to program, ensuring comfort with patient fittings.
- Conducts outbound follow-up phone calls with accounts to ensure first fit is successful, basic competencies in dispensing products and accessories, with a target talk time of 2 hours/day.
- Trains new employees on software, tinnitus, accessories, programming devices, earmolds, etc.
- Communicates with Account Managers and Inside Sales Representatives to ensure everyone has necessary information on customer activity by documenting all phone calls and contacts through Salesforce.
- Attends one-on-one sessions with the Sales Operations manager twice/month to focus on call recordings, challenges, successes, projects, etc.
- Attends monthly team meetings with the Sales Operations group to focus on specific topics such as sales processes, phone skills training, and guest speakers from departments like Client Systems, Audiology, and Production.
- Ensures a positive Oticon experience with every contact to develop long-term customer relationships.
- May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.
- Attends national and regional events as needed.
- Utilizes CRM system daily to manage schedule, follow-ups, log all sales activities, and track daily units.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating contact information in the CRM system.
Requirements
- Proven ability to problem-solve independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-up skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and work as a team player and individual contributor in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, high proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including listening, speech, and telephone voice.
- Experience in the hearing healthcare field, including dispensing hearing instruments or working in a dispensing or hearing aid manufacturing setting; M.A. or AuD Audiologist preferred.
- Maintain continuing education requirements based on state requirements.
- Some travel required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $91,260 and $101,400 annually. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package may also include other elements such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards.
