About the Company

The Farmer’s Dog was born from a mission to change the landscape of pet health, providing dogs and their humans with honest, smart, and simple care. We’re starting by radically improving the $90 billion pet food industry, replacing bags of highly-processed pellets with a personalized subscription service that sends complete and balanced, freshly-made dog food directly to customers’ doors. Our ultimate goal is to create innovative, delightful, and personalized experiences across all aspects of pet care.

To date, The Farmer’s Dog has delivered over 1 billion meals nationwide and raised over $150M in funding to help build a company as healthy as the dogs who are eating those meals. We believe our direct-to-consumer business model, holistic approach to growth, and dynamic culture uniquely position us to shepherd this industry into the future.

About the Role

As the Regional Activation Manager for the West, you’ll be responsible for bringing our brand to life across key markets throughout the West region. This role leads the planning and execution of regional activations, events, partnerships, and market-level initiatives that build brand awareness, deepen consumer engagement, and drive business results. You will translate broader brand strategy into impactful, locally relevant experiences while ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of activations in your region: venue sourcing, vendor/staffing coordination, on-site logistics, and day-of management.
  • Localize national campaign concepts for your market’s audience.
  • Manage regional budget, ensuring spend tracks to plan and ROI is measurable.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local partners, venues, and vendors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional stakeholders.
  • Travel within the region as needed (up to ~50-60%) for on-site activation support.

Company Values

  • One Team: We align ourselves around shared goals rather than departments. We solve problems holistically by bringing together the right people and context.
  • Skeptical about everything, precious about nothing: Ideas can come from anywhere, and we’re quick to change course if a better solution emerges. We proactively seek input and prioritize the customer journey in all decisions.
  • Execute for Impact: We focus on being the best we can be, not on industry benchmarks or rigid role expectations. We prioritize customer retention and experience across all functions.
  • Focused and Work Without Assumption: We treat everything beyond our goals as hypotheses to validate. We work sequentially, constantly adjusting priorities based on new information, and embrace iteration over perfection.

Requirements

  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience turning big-picture brand strategy into memorable, on-the-ground experiences.
  • Ability to adapt national priorities to resonate with local consumers and communities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Comfort owning activations from concept through execution, including timelines, budgets, logistics, and partnerships.
  • Strong pulse on culture, consumer trends, and market insights, with the ability to turn them into action.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; naturally curious and proactive.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Skilled communicator who can distill complexity into simple terms to drive decision-making.
  • Comfortable with significant in-market travel (up to 50-60%) throughout the West region.
  • Based in the Los Angeles area.
  • Love for dogs.

Office Guidelines

While this role is remote and regional, occasional travel to our main offices may be required.

Belonging Philosophy

At The Farmer’s Dog, we believe belonging is a shared commitment to creating a workplace where every person feels respected, valued, and empowered to be themselves. Our philosophy is anchored in the idea that “Everyone’s welcome at the dog park.” We foster an environment where diverse perspectives lead to stronger decisions and deeper relationships, and where inclusion is just the beginning—everyone is encouraged to contribute their voice, grow through challenges, and build trust through shared goals.
