Regional Account Specialist - Infusion
About the role
The Regional Account Manager (inside sales) position at Amerita will develop and manage a designated territory, focusing on education and care coordination for all Amerita products and services. This role acts as a single point of contact for prescribers, assisting with referrals and care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Seeks out opportunities for prescriber experience process improvement and collaborates with Pharmacy OPS and outside sales to achieve prescriber experience improvement and sales goals.
- Achieves designated call expectations for assigned prescribers with a focus on top targets, key influencers, and pipeline leads.
- Identifies, ranks, prospects, and develops key specialty practices and business relationships in neurology, immunology, and GI accounts within the targeted regional territory.
- Aids in sales escalations and communicates with field sales representatives about details impacting prescriber or patient experience.
- Supports education and delivery of key messages and product presentations within initiatives designed to ensure territory meets performance requirements.
- Forwards calls pertaining to clinical information and questions to Staff Pharmacists, documents updates, and maintains patient profiles.
- Manages prescriber communication preferences, nurtures relationships, and ensures continuity of care for prescription renewals.
- Collaborates with sales to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or certificate program in pharmacy and/or healthcare.
- Bachelor’s Degree desired.
- 2+ years’ healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
- Familiar with specialty providers, clinic, and hospital communities.
- Team player willing to accept and promote organizational goals and function with minimal supervision.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, or senior management.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people and demonstrates communication, organizational, administrative, and office skills.
- Maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with general pharmacy terminology, brand, and generic names of medications.
- Understanding of drug reimbursement, Managed Care Medical Specialty, and PBM drug benefits.
- Exceptional probing and consultative communication skills.
- Proficient in data entry, verbal skills, computer skills, and learning the department’s software system including CRM.

USD $65,000.00 - $76,000.00 / Year

Physical Requirements
Frequently sits, types on a keyboard with fingers, occasionally stands, walks, bends, reaches, climbs stairs/ladders, kneels, crouches, stoops. Physical requirements include the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 1-10 lbs.
