JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Account Representative will primarily be responsible for supporting the Regional Account Director in closing orders and sales while managing all aspects of full-line sales representative accountability.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Increase sales by establishing clinical surgeon champions with existing prospects as well as new potential customers to obtain their support of this capital project and obtain their assistance as an internal coach to establish regional show sites and expand upon this success.
  • Close orders by communicating with current prospects and new customer prospects to sell our existing products by creatively communicating its unique features & benefits.
  • Establish robotic programs in the region and drive utilization amongst the installed base.
  • Provide surgeon and other clinical feedback on existing products to Sales & Marketing Management for future system modifications and enhancements.
  • Achieve assigned orders and sales objectives.
  • Always represent THINK Surgical in a positive, professional manner and thereby the company and our product(s).
  • Provide THINK Surgical® demonstrations on an as needed basis to potential surgeons, customers, and hospital personnel.
  • Attend various trade shows, seminars, and conferences to promote THINK Surgical® products as the precision surgical instruments with 3D planning platform technology and open implant architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of sales experience in the medical device space.
  • Proven track record closing hospital orders of medical devices with individual costs of $50k+.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospital administrators through the hospital purchase cycle.
  • Must be comfortable in operating room environments during invasive surgical procedures.
  • Established orthopedic industry relationships or hospital administrative relationships.
  • Outstanding verbal and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System Standards.

PREFERRED

  • Experience in Orthopedics, specifically total joint replacement.
  • Comprehensive Orthopedic Industry knowledge.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and operate office equipment for a prolonged period of time.
  • Physical activities include, but not limited to constant manual dexterity, moving about the work site, and/or handling objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Other infrequent physical activities include, but not limited to, positioning self to complete assigned tasks, and ascending/descending floors and/or ladders.
  • Occasionally work around moving mechanical parts.
  • Must be able to work in a schedule that commensurate with business operation, including work during weekends, holidays and/or times outside of normal business hours.
  • Must be able to travel as business necessitates (up to 75%).
