About the role

The Regional Account Director will own the Southeast territory within a growing physician-facing sales organization. You’ll be responsible for building a strong local pipeline across physicians, clinics, and hospital networks. The role combines territory strategy, relationship development, consultative selling, and disciplined pipeline management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Southeast territory pipeline: Identify target accounts, conduct outreach, develop relationships, and convert physician, clinic, and hospital network opportunities while maintaining a healthy and accurately staged pipeline.
  • Drive physician and account adoption: Execute established sales playbooks and call plans, communicate the value of enhanced healthcare service programs, and build trusted relationships that encourage adoption and long-term retention.
  • Deliver against commercial targets: Meet or exceed territory conversion, revenue, and script-volume growth objectives while maintaining accurate pipeline information and reliable forecasts.
  • Manage territory execution: Apply national coverage models, account-targeting strategies, and call-planning frameworks while adapting tactics to local market conditions.
  • Provide market intelligence: Share field-level insights, account feedback, competitive observations, and territory trends with sales leadership to help improve broader targeting and coverage strategies.
  • Maintain CRM and forecasting discipline: Keep account, opportunity, activity, and forecast data current and accurate to provide leadership with clear visibility into territory performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Account Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, and other commercial stakeholders to ensure smooth account transitions, aligned messaging, and a consistent customer experience.
  • Build lasting customer relationships: Establish credibility with physicians, clinics, and hospital network stakeholders and serve as a trusted commercial partner throughout the account lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of direct sales experience with a demonstrated history of quota attainment, pipeline ownership, and measurable commercial results.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in physician sales, field sales execution, or territory-based account management.
  • Strong understanding of physician sales cycles, account development, call planning, and pipeline management.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with physicians, clinics, hospital networks, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Comfortable executing established sales playbooks and territory coverage models while using sound judgment to adapt tactics to local opportunities.
  • Strong CRM discipline, forecasting capabilities, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment while managing a territory and multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Preferred experience in hub market, pharmacy, healthcare technology, or related healthcare sales.
  • Experience launching a new product or program within an existing territory or account base is a plus.
  • Must reside within the Southeast territory, including Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina, or North Carolina.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Southeast territory to support key accounts.

Benefits

  • Eligibility for Sales Incentive Compensation tied to territory quota attainment and script-volume production.
  • Full-time, exempt position with a remote work arrangement.
  • Opportunity to own and grow a defined regional territory with significant autonomy and commercial responsibility.
  • Regular collaboration with senior sales leadership and cross-functional commercial teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the adoption of innovative healthcare services and solutions.
