Job Summary
This position oversees Financial forecasting and reporting for a multi-site Region. Provides insight and analysis of financial operating results, identifies trends, and makes recommendations for profitability drivers.
Responsibilities
- Determine key drivers of variances versus plan and last year's results.
- Identify underperforming customers and vendors and their profitability drivers.
- Partner with sales teams to grow sales and win in the market.
- Develop, process, track, and review contracts.
- Make recommendations to improve profitability.
- Manage and support the local Finance team in FP&A activities, reporting, and analytics.
- Provide analysis on key drivers of SG&A expenses and variances to plan and last year.
- Identify and recommend cost control initiatives.
- Quantify financial impact of cost control initiatives.
- Participate in credit committee and other initiatives.
- Affirm the accuracy of overall trends and impacts of key initiatives in the monthly Region forecast.
- Ensure the accuracy of overall trends and impacts of key initiatives in the annual profit plan.
- Recruit and train finance analysts.
- Champion and be the local expert in Sysco's analytical toolbox.
- Maintain and recommend improvements to profitability of customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics required.
- MBA preferred.
- At least 3 years of financial analyst and/or accounting experience required.
- Prior managerial experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
- Proficient in using Word and Excel.
