About the Role

As the Region CFO, you will provide comprehensive and strategic leadership for the region’s financial operations, driving fiscal health and strategic growth. You will oversee patient financial services, revenue cycles, financial planning, budgeting, and capital accumulation strategies. Your role includes optimizing revenue generation, managing expenses, directing financial operations, and leveraging information systems to enhance efficiency and reporting. You will recommend financial policies, develop operational procedures, and ensure robust financial governance and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and evaluate the operations of the Financial Services division, including the FHS Business Office, General Financial Services, Property Management, Patient Access, Health Information Management, Management Services Organization (PHN), and Non-Governmental Reimbursement.
  • Develop and manage the overall division budget, including selecting, managing, and evaluating departmental managers and support staff.
  • Serve as a member of Franciscan Health System committees involved in policy and procedure development, program planning, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop programs, policies, and plans for the efficient and effective operation of the Franciscan Health System (FHS).
  • Participate in system-wide strategic and program planning, development, and evaluation.
  • Direct the preparation of operating, capital, and cash budgets in alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic objectives.
  • Consult with divisional Vice Presidents and assistant administrators to coordinate interdepartmental activities and implement operating procedures.
  • Assist in interpreting the FHS Mission Statement, program plans, policies, procedures, budgets, and operating statements.
  • Support divisional Vice Presidents, assistant administrators, and departmental managers in preparing and managing operating and capital budgets to ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Finalize budget requests, prepare written narratives, and review proposals with the President/CEO.
  • Prepare or direct the preparation of reports, analyses, and recommendations for the financial management of the System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required at hire).
  • Master’s degree in business administration, hospital administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience (required at hire).
  • Five years of experience in hospital financial management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Washington (at hire).
  • Washington State Driver’s License (at hire).

Pay

$223.42 - $402.15 per hour.
