Job Summary
The Regeneration Operator prepares resin, mobile equipment and ion exchange resin tanks for customer fulfillment. Regenerates ion exchange resin and media with various chemicals. Handles chemicals such as acids, bases and salts. Performs quality control checks on the equipment and is generally responsible for tasks performed by Plant Operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receives resin from customer sites in resin tanks or on mobile equipment.
- Empties tanks or equipment of the exhausted media and prepares it for regeneration.
- Regenerates ion exchange resins and media with acids, bases and other chemicals.
- Performs quality control checks on the equipment to ensure specifications are met. Test may include pH, specific ions, resistivity, and TDS.
- Repairs and helps maintain the bottles/tanks and other service type of equipment, which could include minor valve/PVC repairs, painting, and refurbishing as required.
- Prepares resin tanks or mobile equipment by filling empty tanks with regenerated media.
- Maintains a safe work environment by following EHS procedures and policies.
- Makes sure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Monitors bulk chemical delivery.
- Separates ion exchange resins as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Characteristics
- Physical job requiring frequent lifting and bending motions, use of hand tools, and manual manipulation of products/equipment.
- Operates Forklift as needed.
- Willingness to complete occasional site assignments for customer troubleshooting, operation and installation.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity.
- Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments including industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
- Ability and willingness to travel for install and repair if needed.
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record history.
- At least 1 year of experience in comparable manufacturing environment involving chemical handling, or at least 1 year of experience in plumbing, pump or mechanical repair.
Preferred
- HS Chemistry knowledge highly desired.

- Compensation: The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $21.43 - $26.50 USD hourly.
