About the Role
Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. The primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher.
Responsibilities
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Handling of emergency situations when called upon.
- General cleaning duties.
- Compliance with company dress code.
- Box Office:
- Operating POS system, including handling and ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons.
- Upselling/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promoting the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Responding to phone calls and guest questions in line with guest service philosophy.
- Concession:
- Operating POS system, including handling and ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons, as well as concession stock inventory.
- Promoting the Regal Crown Club program.
- Operating, preparing, and cleaning all concession-related equipment.
- Upselling/suggestive selling.
- Complying with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
- Abiding by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
- Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
- If the theatre sells alcohol, team members must be of legal age to sell or serve alcohol according to state or local laws.
- Usher:
- Tearing tickets, collecting and depositing stubs, and directing patrons to auditoriums.
- Inspecting backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Managing crowd control and assisting guests in finding seats.
- Enforcing the MPAA rating system.
- Conducting in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent theft, and maintain a safe environment.
- Reporting problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
- Performing in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
- Cleaning auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintaining clean restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas.
- Monitoring the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
- Assisting with opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
- Required to read and understand training materials covering subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
- Education/Experience:
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required.
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, completion of legally required state or local training and certification is mandatory, along with Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.
- Language Ability: Good public speaking skills, effective listening, and clear, direct responses.
- Math Ability: Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, and identify and correct errors.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes.
- Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives, and reach evidence-based conclusions.
- Take action beyond what is necessarily called for.

- Personal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve objectives.
- Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay
$13.00 per hour.
