About the Role
Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. The primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Responsibilities include acting as a representative of Regal, maintaining regular attendance, handling emergency situations, performing general cleaning duties, and complying with the company dress code.
Responsibilities
- Box Office
- Operating POS system, including handling and ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons
- Upselling and suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
- Promoting the Regal Crown Club program
- Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
- Responding to phone calls and guest questions in alignment with guest service philosophy
- Concession
- Operating POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons, and concession stock inventory
- Promoting the Regal Crown Club program
- Operating, preparing, and cleaning concession-related equipment
- Upselling and suggestive selling
- Complying with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
- Adhering to federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods
- Maintaining required alcohol certification and training where applicable
- If assigned duties include selling/serving alcohol, must be of legal age according to state or local laws
- Usher
- Tearing tickets, collecting stubs, and directing patrons to auditoriums
- Inspecting backpacks and packages when applicable
- Managing crowd control and assisting guests in finding seats
- Enforcing the MPAA rating system
- Conducting in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent theft, and maintain a safe environment
- Reporting problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management
- Performing in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed
- Cleaning auditoriums, restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and other areas
- Monitoring theatre vending equipment cleanliness and operation
- Assisting with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Reading and understanding training materials on subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination
Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, must complete legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate, as well as complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training

- Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear

- May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

$17.15 per hour
