About the role

The Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) at Northwell provides respiratory care services to patients across various hospital departments, adhering to established policies and physician prescriptions. This position involves interactions with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Interact with patients of all ages in all areas of the hospital.
• Practice the profession as prescribed by NYS Law, Title VIII Education Law, and the Respiratory Department job description.

Requirements

• Have completed an approved Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Therapy or an equivalent program recognized by the Department of State Board.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist to practice in New York State.
• Basic Life Support certified; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification preferred.
