About the Role
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RRT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RRT will coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to promote a great patient experience. The RRT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Applied Science or equivalent, majoring in Respiratory Care or meeting NBRC approved registry requirements
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
