About the role

This role interprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices and procedures. It implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met.

The role investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. It may develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies and may audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for administering Purchasing System regulations to ensure compliance with Federal, Agency and contract requirements. Duties and responsibilities include conducting internal surveillance of the system, participating in internal/external compliance audits, responding to various inquiries, and ensuring policies, & general PO terms are in alignment with requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.
  • Or equivalent to Bachelor's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience, High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience, High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience.

Nice to Have

A successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with government contracting including knowledge of the FAR/DFARS, experience with policy, ability to multi-task in an agile environment, & strong attention to detail.

Pay

The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role, which is $59,000.00 to $74,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 1st shift schedule. No relocation assistance is available and this position is not eligible for telework. No travel requirements are associated with this role and no clearance is required to start.
