REFUND ANALYST

Universal Health Services (UHS) - Western Region Consolidated Business Office (WCBO) delivers comprehensive insurance revenue services to affiliated UHS facilities, encompassing billing, collections, cash posting, pre-access management, variance analysis, and customer service.

About the role

The Refund Analyst identifies and validates overpaid insurance claims and initiates refund requests from medical insurance companies. This role requires a thorough understanding of contract terms and financial acumen to accurately interpret and communicate relevant details. The Refund Analyst collaborates closely with external teams to ensure timely resolution and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate overpaid insurance claims
• Initiate refund requests from medical insurance companies
• Interpret and communicate contract terms and financial details

Requirements

• 2+ years of medical contracts and claims experience
• Experience in hospital acute care payer contracts
• Articulate with medical insurance terminology
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and 10-key data entry

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
