Refrigeration Technician 2, Facilities - St Johns County, FL

About the Role

We are seeking a Refrigeration Technician 2 to join our Facilities Refrigeration team. This role supports retail refrigeration operations by performing general rack refrigeration maintenance, routine service requests for retail stores, and HVAC repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and perform HVACR repairs and general maintenance on all refrigeration systems and equipment in a retail environment
• Train and mentor Refrigeration Technician 1’s on all aspects of performing service on equipment
• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining accurate parts inventory
• Participate in special refrigeration projects for retail facilities and assist with corporate project implementation

Requirements

• Completion of HVAC or Refrigeration Trade School or equivalent experience
• At least three (3) years working in refrigeration in either service or construction discipline OR at least one (1) year as a Refrigeration Technician 1
• Must be at least 20 years old with a valid driver’s license
• EPA Universal License
• Electrical circuit troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of EMS systems (e.g., Danfoss and Emerson)
• Ability to lift/lower, climb ladders, and walk on roofs
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, on-call rotations, and travel with overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years working in refrigeration in either service or construction disciplines OR two (2) or more years as a Refrigeration Technician 2
