About the role

As a Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic, you will maintain, disassemble, reassemble, repair, test, and inspect industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, air compressors, and associated equipment, including preventive maintenance. You will assist with troubleshooting and repair of all systems and equipment components, maintain P&ID drawings for refrigeration systems, and keep logs and required paperwork. Additional duties include maintaining the water treatment system for boilers and condensers with the help of an outside vendor, and participating in PSM team projects and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, disassemble, reassemble, repair, test, and inspect industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, air compressors, and associated equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of all systems and equipment components.
• Maintain P&ID drawings for refrigeration systems.
• Keep logs and required paperwork up to date.
• Maintain water treatment system for boilers and condensers with the help of an outside vendor.
• Participate in PSM team projects and meetings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet) or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime.
• Must be able to work overtime as required; start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
• Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and the ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints.

Pay

Base hourly range of $21.85 - $31.85 per hour.
