About the role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our facility and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety by identifying and mitigating workplace hazards
- Plan, scope, and lead capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, finance, and external vendors/contractors
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and systems
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Support long-term capital planning by identifying equipment lifecycle needs and infrastructure upgrades
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
- Perform routine inspections and servicing of machinery, systems, and facility infrastructure
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and continuous improvement
- Create, update, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and repair activities
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, equipment history, and system performance using CMMS systems
- Coordinate work with external contractors
- Support team development through technical training and mentoring
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to align maintenance priorities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, codes, and industry standards
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive measures
- Monitor KPIs such as downtime and equipment performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in maintenance engineering in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic systems
- Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading teams or managing vendors/contractors
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or reliability engineering practices
