Refrigeration Maintenance 1st Shift Cincinnati OH

Tyson Foods is hiring immediately for a Refrigeration Maintenance position. In this role you will work cross‑functionally across the facility, maintaining equipment to ensure team member safety and support plant performance in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
• Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
• Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months mechanic or refrigeration experience, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program.
• PSM experience preferred.
• Refrigeration experience preferred; experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and in‑depth knowledge of refrigeration components and controls is a plus.
• Basic computer skills for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation; ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Effective communication and basic math skills (percentages, fractions, measurements).
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lb occasionally and 20 lb frequently; stand on a hard surface up to 12 hours per day; work in confined and tall spaces, climb ladders, operate lifts, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive gripping, pushing, pulling, and overhead work.
• Ability to work in plant temperatures ranging from –25 °F to over 100 °F; occasional outside work may be required.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Must furnish own tools.
• Applicants will be considered for Refrigeration Maintenance level openings; leveling is determined during the interview based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.
