About the role
The Downstream Chemicals Team utilizes technology to deliver value to customers in refineries. As a Refinery Site Manager, you will implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and evaluate chemical treatment programs, manage a team, and provide technical support.
Responsibilities
- Safely manage day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs
- Lead and develop a collaborative team to solve complex and interesting technical problems
- Manage a team of Account Representatives and Technicians at a customer's location
- Develop trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams
- Apply account management fundamentals to understand customer needs and requirements
- Identify and coordinate projects of varying complexity to bring value to customers
- Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs
- Collaborate with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions
- Provide field support, laboratory analysis, and technical guidance for customers
- Manage chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or similar discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in refining, supporting hydrocarbon process and finished fuels additives treatment programs
- Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
- A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions
- Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties
- TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC Card

Schedule
Typical hours are Monday – Friday, 7am - 4pm. Must be willing and able to support the business after hours as required.
