Referrals Coordinator - General & Vascular Surgery - Per Diem

About the role

The Clinic Referrals Coordinator processes referral requests from providers, schedules appointments at referral sites, obtains pre-authorizations, and ensures insurance referral approvals.

Responsibilities

• Process referral requests from providers
• Schedule appointments at referral sites
• Obtain pre-authorizations
• Ensure insurance referral approvals
• Work collaboratively with other departments to facilitate smooth referral processes

Qualifications

• At least two years of medical clinic experience
• Exposure to insurance verification and authorization fundamentals
• Current computer experience (medium to expert level) in Microsoft products
• Preferred: Current experience with clinic-based computer programs, medical coding experience, and certifications from professional organizations

Additional Information

• Wage range: $20.84 - $31.59 per hour
• FTE: Per Diem
