About the Role

The Clinical Specialist Rehab must be a licensed Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist. This individual evaluates, plans, educates, and utilizes exercises and physical modalities to treat and rehabilitate persons with medical problems, health-related conditions, or developmental disabilities that limit mobility or functional activities within their discipline-specific scope of care. The role also focuses on preventing mobility loss, promoting movement, reducing pain, restoring function, and preventing disability to help individuals achieve healthy, active lifestyles. The Clinical Specialist Rehab assists in program management responsibilities and may require travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement rehabilitative treatments for individuals with medical problems, health-related conditions, or developmental disabilities.
  • Utilize exercises and physical modalities to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability.
  • Promote healthy and active lifestyles through mobility and functional improvement.
  • Assist in program management responsibilities.
  • Travel between facilities as needed to provide services.

Requirements

  • Licensure in the State of Texas as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology program.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Current BCLS certification (in accordance with AHA Healthcare Provider’s Program).
  • Ability to travel to facilities as needed.
  • Commitment to adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Membership in a professional organization preferred.
