Responsibilities

• Handle all referrals and precertifications with insurance companies to facilitate accurate scheduling of appointments with referral sources in the community.
• Alphabetize and pay attention to details.
• Interact effectively with different types of people and handle stressful situations.
• Mail, phone, and fax information as needed in a timely manner to verify that all necessary information is available to referral sources the day of the patient's appointment.

Qualifications

• One year prior medical office or hospital experience.
• Data entry experience desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (WORD, Excel, Outlook).
• Broad knowledge of general office equipment, including 10‑key.
