Referral Liaison

Full-time, in-office position with a weekday, day-shift schedule in Washington, IN.

Responsibilities

• Processing and distributing incoming appointment referrals
• Coordinating with patients to schedule initial appointments within 48 hours of receiving referral
• Documenting all contact attempts and any lost referrals
• Following protocol to make the minimum number of contact attempts for referrals not yet scheduled
• Scheduling walk-up evaluations referred directly by neighboring physicians
• Entering scheduled appointments in patient electronic medical records (EMR) and attaching the referral for the Patient Experience Specialist to review
• Answering telephone and returning voicemails in a timely and professional manner
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• At least 1 year of related experience or training is preferred
• Previous experience in a customer service or clerical role
• High degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
• Strong detail orientation with the ability to adapt to change
• Strong follow-up and follow-through skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
