Referral Liaison
Overview
The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Referral Liaison to serve as the liaison between the College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital and the veterinarians in the community.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates incoming and outgoing veterinarian referrals via telephone or other electronic means.
- Communicates estimates for services to customers and referring veterinarians as well as the procedures, processes, and policies of the AU Teaching Hospital to customers and referring veterinarians on intake.
- Captures and updates patient information from referring veterinarians to facilitate routine and emergency appointments.
- Coordinates and facilitates routine and emergency appointments from patient information gained by communicating with referring veterinarians.
- Updates and maintains the referring veterinary database and website as needed.
- Compiles and reports survey data.
- Organizes and oversees public relations and marketing programs designed to increase the referral volume.
Qualifications
- Level I: High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in administrative support services.
- Level II: High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in administrative support services.
- Substitutions allowed for experience when a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
