Referral, Insurance & Admin Specialist, SAMF Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine - Outpatient, Part Time

Description

This position is responsible for outpatient registration, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, incoming and outgoing referrals as well as provider relations. The incumbent performs office clerical functions, communicates with other members of the wound care team and coordinates care for patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college is preferred.
• Two (2) years of related office experience managing referrals and insurance authorizations in a medical office is required.
• Strong knowledge of government payers and commercial insurance plans is preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• Effective problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills are required.
• Demonstrated ability to show initiative and decision-making skills is required.
• Ability to follow and interpret oral and written instructions, institutional documents and policies is required.
• Ability to operate office equipment, organize and manage workload with strong typing skills is required.
• Ability to handle matters with strict confidentiality is required.
• Ability to demonstrate outstanding performance in a team environment while providing a strong customer service focus is a must.
• Multilingual is preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $24.06 - $32.49
