Referral Coordinator, Neurology

Schedule

Full Time, 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required
• Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of referral management (incoming, outgoing, home health, EMR generated in-basket, patient precertification)
• Perform front office duties including patient registration, answering phone lines, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting with routing patients’ issues to the proper person for resolution
• Ensure all demographic data is collected and entered correctly into the computer system
• Enter insurance information, co-pay and co-insurance information and scan identification and insurance cards as required
• Use EMR system practice management and electronic medical record systems proficiently as primary source of documentation of all patient visits and correspondence
• Complete all required training when scheduled, allowing no one to become delinquent
• Practice work in a safe manner, following proper protocols of infection control, accident prevention, proper body mechanics, etc.
• Attend meetings/training sessions as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned
