About the Role

Reeves Construction Company is seeking an experienced CDL A Dump Trailer Driver based in Duncan, SC. The successful candidate will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a truck equipped with a dump trailer to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, and bituminous paving materials.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklists on equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Handle paperwork concerning Department of Transportation regulations, freight weigh bills, fuel tickets, and load tickets.
  • Carry out detailed instructions, take directions to job sites, and use good judgment in decision-making while working without direct supervision.
  • Operate the vehicle safely in traffic situations and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous driving experience.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (no endorsements required).
  • Able to drive manual transmission.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements for CDL drivers, including the DOT physical exam.

Schedule

  • Able to work days and/or nights.
  • Able to work some Saturdays (as needed).

  • Must have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses.
  • Hearing should be excellent or corrected by an audio device.

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.
