About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Red Hat OpenShift Engineer with a strong background in container orchestration, platform management, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying, managing, and supporting applications on Red Hat OpenShift clusters. This role is responsible for automating infrastructure, integrating CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting containerized environments, and supporting enterprise Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift clusters (25%)
- Configure, manage, and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift (20%)
- Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm (25%)
- Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift environments with CI/CD deployment tools including Jenkins, Maven, and GitHub (15%)
- Document, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving containerized applications and platform infrastructure (15%)
Requirements
- 5 years of experience managing and administering Red Hat OpenShift clusters
- 4 years of proficiency with scripting languages such as KSH, Bash, and Python
- 4 years of experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform and Ansible
- 4 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices using Jenkins, GitLab, and Maven
- 4 years of in-depth knowledge of networking within containerized environments, including load balancing, network policies, and ingress/egress traffic management
- 5 years of strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), formerly Rational Team Concert (RTC)
- CMMI Level 3 compliance experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Security Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (no H-1B visa holders) with a minimum of three (3) years of U.S. residency as a Permanent Resident. Active IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI/58C Tier 2RS) is required at the time of submission. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizenship is required for the IRS MBI/58C Tier 2RS. An IRS Full Background Investigation (FBI) clearance is required to retain the position.
