Responsibilities
- Lead DevOps tasks and initiatives end-to-end, from design through delivery, without requiring step-by-step oversight.
- Optimize, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes (AWS EKS).
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Enhance and support existing and new CI/CD pipelines with Git, driving automation for builds, tests, deployments, and rollbacks.
- Collaborate with security teams to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities, enforce best practices, and support compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues across distributed systems.
- Establish and evolve monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for 24x7x365 visibility into system health and performance.
- Partner with business and technology leadership to improvise and innovate solutions, shaping the long-term infrastructure roadmap.
- Mentor junior team members in AWS, promote a culture of ownership, and ensure best practices are followed.
- Serve as a key escalation point for outages, performance concerns, and critical system events.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE experience in cloud-native environments.
- Deep expertise with all-things AWS (EC2, ElasticSearch, S3, IAM, Bedrock, EKS, etc).
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
- Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of high-availability architectures, load balancing, failover, and security best practices.
- Able to own initiatives, take charge of delivery, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, especially security and development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with the following technologies:
- Data logging and alerting (SIEM)
- Data ETL and Scheduling tools, such as Airflow, Glue, etc
- Understanding data lineage and processing procedures
- Experience and Understanding of Compliance and Legal concepts, such as CCPA/CPRA
- Understanding around modern AI Concepts, such as LLM and ML processes and tools
