Recycling Operator - RMA (USA)

About the Role

The Recycling Operator is responsible for maintaining and meeting all production goals, productivity targets, and customer satisfaction through production value and employee effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Operate all recycling equipment safely and efficiently to produce quality materials that meet customer requirements.
• Comply with Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and Work Package Instructions.
• Communicate and review the status of work in process at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Perform startups and shutdowns of equipment as needed.
• Report decisions, problems, and questions in a timely manner to management.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist in the completion of special projects.
• Follow all Quality, Safety, and Environmental Procedures.
• Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience is a plus but not required; must be willing to learn and follow procedures.
• Basic math skills and detail-oriented.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English efficiently (preferred).
• Must be able to communicate with others and management.
• Comfortable working in a shared space with constant noise.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Schedule

Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands, potentially exceeding 40 hours with or without notice.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a shared space with constant noise and without a private office. All injuries, regardless of severity, must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, squat, bend, climb, carry, and reach as needed.
• Must follow RMA safety policies and procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
