Core Responsibilities
- Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations
- Set up, run, shut down, troubleshoot and clean production lines
- Understand, follow and apply information from the Run Instruction Sheet (RIS)
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift and man lift
- Maintain and properly complete logs for production ledgers (inbound, outbound, rejects and run) and quality control
- Complete Ready for Sale (RFS) tags
- Compute weights via calculator, competently using correct gross, tare and net figures
- Weigh material in boxes and hoppers. Correctly record weights in appropriate places
- Take regular and proper samples and systematically probe boxes as directed by RIS. Report inequities to lab personnel and supervisor
- Thoroughly clean boxes, lids and skids prior to using them. Determine condition of packaging and dispose of any substandard material prior to reusing
- Complete the Run Number Time Log at the end of each shift
- Update RIS as needed and pass information along to your supervisor in a timely manner
- Keep your work area clean and organized throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work within company values
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Must have capacity for making mathematical computations with adding, subtracting, and calculating percentages via calculators
- Able to ascertain the gross, tare, and net weights of each box of material processed
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift material weighing up to 55 pounds
- Requires work on platforms, climbing stairs and ladders, being off the ground and under equipment
- Able to work with dirt/dust, noise, and around extremely hot temperatures and with high heat material
- Able to work in a fast-based environment, handle multiple tasks, and be detailed oriented
- Work schedule flexibility to accommodate needs of the business
Education Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED, preferred
