Recycle Center Production Manager!

About the role

The Recycle Center Production Manager supervises the processing workflow of materials through the recycling facility, ensuring adherence to procedure, safety, budget, quality control, productivity, and commodity grading. This role leverages market process experience to determine baling runs, logistics, inventory, and output to meet goals and purchase agreements. The manager collaborates with internal teams from Operations, Sales, Safety, and Maintenance to coordinate operating standards and works with external service vendors, commodity mill buyers, logistics providers, and supply acquisition partners. Additionally, the role involves supervising plant employees in compliance with Corporate Policy and applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage recycling center production.
• Supervise recycling center staff.
• Ensure fiber quality and integrity per mill specifications.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics.
• Oversee baling equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Oversee rolling stock operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ensure employee safety and adherence to policy and PPE.
• Maintain vendor relationships.
• Maintain mill relationships.
• Keep the plant clean and orderly at all times.
• Attend and participate in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Stay up to date on current technology relevant to the role.
• Perform any additional job duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Work Environment

This role operates in an industrial process plant with heavy production equipment, rolling stock, and inventory. The position requires motor coordination and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Certification for operating a forklift, skid steer, and track hoe is required. Work conditions may include exposure to wide temperature and weather variations (heat, cold, snow, rain, wind), noise, vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust.
