Recurrent Faculty Member, Embryology

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock TX, is seeking a recurrent faculty member to serve as an Embryologist. Candidates must have a terminal degree related to Laboratory-Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

Responsibilities

  • Perform all embryology and andrology skills necessary to maintain the operation of the ART Laboratory, including both ICSI and embryo biopsy.
  • Maintain and perform maintenance on all ART laboratory equipment, including daily QC and QM tasks.
  • Work a flexible work schedule to maintain the services of the ART Laboratory.
  • Aid the laboratory director in maintaining all regulatory requirements of the ART Lab.
  • Train students, residents, and staff in any and all of the above.
  • Lecture students and residents as assigned by the department chair or laboratory director on subjects in his/her expertise.

Requirements

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent degree. Extensive training and expertise in clinical laboratory techniques of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) is preferred.

Pay

Schedule

This position works on a day shift and does not require travel.
