About the Role

The United Benefice of King’s Beck is seeking a Rector to provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and mission focus across its rural parishes. The benefice comprises several villages in the heart of Norfolk, each with its own unique character and community.

Responsibilities

• Lead worship and preaching across the benefice, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive spiritual life.
• Provide pastoral care to parishioners, including visiting the sick, elderly, and those in need.
• Oversee the mission and outreach of the benefice, engaging with local communities and fostering growth.
• Work collaboratively with lay leaders, churchwardens, and ministry teams to develop and implement mission strategies.
• Encourage and support lay ministry, including training and development opportunities for volunteers.
• Manage the day-to-day administration of the benefice, including oversight of church buildings and finances.
• Build relationships with local schools, community groups, and other faith organizations.
• Participate in diocesan activities and contribute to the wider life of the Church of England.

Requirements

• Ordained priest in the Church of England or eligible for ordination.
• Experience in rural or multi-parish ministry is desirable but not essential.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to collaborative ministry and the ability to work effectively with lay teams.
• Passion for mission, evangelism, and community engagement.
• Willingness to live within or near the benefice.
