About the role
The Recruitment & Training Lead will work closely with our external recruitment partner to monitor, manage, and improve the flow of candidates into both territories. Alongside this, they will deliver high-quality Moving & Handling and Basic Life Support training on site for all new starters, ensuring every CareAngel begins their journey confident, safe, and well-prepared.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Pipeline Management
- Work alongside our external recruitment company to monitor candidate flow, identify gaps, and ensure a steady pipeline of suitable applicants.
- Conduct initial screening calls and values-based interviews.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure a warm, supportive recruitment experience.
- Track recruitment performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve attraction and conversion.
- Support with job adverts, social media recruitment posts, and local attraction activity when needed.
Training Delivery
- Deliver in-person Moving & Handling training for all new recruits, ensuring safe practice and compliance with company standards.
- Deliver Basic Life Support training, ensuring new CareAngels feel confident responding to emergencies.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure all new starters complete mandatory training before their first shift.
- Work with the Registered Managers to schedule training sessions that align with induction and service needs.
Compliance & Onboarding
- Complete all compliance checks required for onboarding care workers, including: Right-to-work, DBS, References, Training verification and Mandatory documentation.
- Ensure all new starters are fully compliant and ready for induction before handover to scheduling.
- Maintain accurate, organised records in line with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Care Co-Ordinator and the leadership team to align recruitment activity with operational demand.
- Liaise with the external recruitment partner to ensure smooth communication and shared visibility of pipeline progress.
- Provide regular updates on recruitment status, training completion, and onboarding timelines.
On-call Responsibilities
- Participate in the on-call rota as part of the wider leadership team, providing support and escalation when required.
