Recruitment Officer
About the role
The Professional and Work-based Learning Team at the University of Nottingham seeks a dynamic and driven Recruitment Officer to join their team. The role involves identifying, attracting, and initiating strong employer partnerships to generate numbers for degree apprenticeship and work-based development programs.
Responsibilities
- Administer and provide customer service during the recruitment process, from advertising to contract issuance.
- Support the development of degree apprenticeship provision, which is strategically important to the University.
- Manage employer and apprentice relationships throughout the application process to meet recruitment targets.
- Develop and maintain good internal relationships and familiarity with the programs offered.
- Ensure robust evidence is collected to meet ESFA funding rules and Ofsted requirements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have experience in the apprenticeships sector, combining a target-driven approach with knowledge of the skills agenda and outstanding research-led teaching.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and ideally some experience in recruitment or related field. Experience in higher education and/or apprenticeships is preferred.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship schemes and funding rules.
- Experience in higher education and/or apprenticeships.

Pay
The starting salary is £29,740 to £36,446 per annum pro-rata, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Schedule
This is a full-time (36.25 hours) permanent position. Job share arrangements may be considered.
